We’re excited to once again share the opportunity for local organizations to apply for a PA Pride Community Grant!
These grants, provided by the PA Tourism Office and administered in partnership with Lancaster LGBTQ+ Coalition, are to provide funding to uplift LGBTQ+ Pride festivals and events across the Commonwealth.
Any organization presenting an event from May 1 to September 10, 2023 are eligible. Applications must be returned by June 10, so apply today!

About the PA Pride Community Grant
The Pennsylvania Tourism Office is committed to bring visibility to LGBTQ+ communities and to celebrate celebrations across the Commonwealth where Pennsylvanians share their pride and pursue their happiness. To do this, they have created a new funding opportunity – the Pennsylvania Pride Community Grants program.
The Office has selected Lancaster LGBTQ+ Coalition to administer the program. The Coalition is committed to building a supportive and enriching community abundant in opportunities for LGBTQ+ individuals and those with a vested interest in creating a more inclusive Lancaster County and is the perfect choice for this initiative while extending that mission to the entire Commonwealth. Initially inspired by the Stonewall uprisings in 1969, the Coalition affirms that the celebration of Pride continues to honor our communities’ histories and to recognize the impact that LGBTQ+ individuals have on the Commonwealth, our country, and our world.
Pennsylvania’s Pride Community Grants will provide support for pride festivals and events which align with the following initiatives and priorities:
Celebration: Providing a celebration and a gathering place for LGBTQ+ communities and allies that will boost economic impact to the region through visitor spending.
Belonging: Helping to elevate the “all are welcome” identity in the respective communities of Pennsylvania while extending an invitation to all visitors.
Accessibility and Inclusion: Addressing barriers that may prevent any potential attendee from enjoying equitable and meaningful engagement through community.
Intersectionality: Recognizing the many identities that further shape our LGBTQ+ Pennsylvanians and taking steps to ensure that all find belonging and acceptance
Increased Promotion: Providing additional marketing resources to extend awareness and increase attendance at the events. Leveraging the success of the events to highlight tourism assets in the respective communities.
The PA Pride Community Grants will provide matching grants up to $15,000 for pride festivals and celebrations taking place between 1 May and 30 September, 2022. This reaffirms the state’s commitment that being more inclusive is good for our communities, tourism-related businesses, organizations, and sends the message that, in Pennsylvania, all are welcome.
